Pure lavender essential oil is a versatile relaxing plant oil. It can aid with insomnia, mild headaches, mild depression, anxiety, PMS and post natal depression. The undiluted oil can be applied to many different skin issues, including insect bites, boils, acne, grazes and mild sunburn. Lavender oil can also help itching due to eczema or dermatitis.
Lavender essential oil blends well with most other oils including bergamot, cedarwood, clarysage, geranium, juniper, mandarin, frankincense, peppermint, rose, rosemary and sandalwood oils.
How to use:
In the bath – add 6-8 drops to a warm relaxing bath. Vegetable oil (15 mL) may also be added for a truly moisturizing experience.
Massage – add 3-5 drops of oil to a tablespoon for carrier oil (sweet almond, grapeseed, or choose from many others) to create a relaxing massage oil.
Diffusers – add 3-5 drops of oil to diffuser. If using a candle diffuser, add water to blending well to ¾ full and maintain level at ¼ to ½.
Caution: Do not take internally: keep away from eyes. Use sparingly. Keep away from children. If irritation develops, discontinue use.
